Inclusive Rates – What’s in it?

• Rental Period chosen.
• Unlimited Mileage.
• Guaranteed vehicle group reserved , but not car type or model. Vehicles illustrated are just an example for space and size.
• All vehicles have Air Conditioning and Radio, Radio Cassette or Radio CD.
• Mandatory Insurances.
• Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) – With some exclusions apply. See ‘What’s not included’ below.
• Theft Protection for Rental Vehicle.
• 24 Hours Road Side Assistance.
• Airport Surcharges.
• All Local Taxes.
• Steering Europe Limited reservation & administration Fee (Charged at time of Booking, the actual rental period at Steering Europe Ltd special rates is payable locally)
• Free delivery and collection service for reservations longer than 7 days, within Alicante city, should you require this service.

What’s not included?

• Personal Accident Insurance (PAI).
• Additional Optional Insurances.
• Fuel – Vehicles supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned as empty as possible. The tank is charged on pick up of the vehicle and it is between €50.00 and €90.00 depending on the vehicle type. There are no refunds for unused fuel.
• Insurances do not cover;
• Damage to Wheels and Tyre Punctures
• Tyres and Wheel Covers
• Damage to Windscreen and or Windows
• Cost of lost key replacement
• Undercarriage damage
• Upholstery and dashboard damage
• Lost vehicle tools including warning triangle
• Error in refuelling with the wrong fuel type
• Motorway or other Tolls
• Parking Fines
• Traffic Fines
• Garaging
• Non-accidental Breakdowns
• Personal Items Left in the Vehicle
• Client will be billed at local unlimited mileage rate it the vehicle is out of use, suffered a breakdown or an accident or is held by Official Authorities, due to negligent driving
• Baby seats – These can be supplied at an extra cost of £2.00 per day to a maximum of £20.00. Must be requested at time of booking.
• Out of hours charged at €15.00 - This will be charged locally
• Optional extras.
• Under 25 years old, driver’s charges. €7.00 per rental day charged locally.
• Insurance Damage Waiver to cover for damage on Tyres, Wheels & Glass can be purchased locally. It’s charge is €20.00.

… Also not Included and Not on Offer

• One-Way Rentals to other Spain locations not possible. Only permitted between the Alicante Airport and the offices within Alicante City.
• Roof Racks and Vehicle with Tow Bars are not available

Flight Details at Time of Booking

• At time of booking it is important to enter correct flight number and expected arrival time. Your flight will be monitored so that our operator can wait for you in case of delays or too early arrivals.
• Failure to provide correct flight details or no details at all, could result in poor service from our operator and no responsibility can be accepted or compensation will be due, for failure to provide such information at least 1 week before departure.

Driver’s and Additional Driver’s Age

• Drivers must be over 21 years old, with no limit of age. However, there is a charge for 21 to 24 years old.
• An under age fee is applicable to all drivers and or additional drivers under 25 years old and over 21 years old that have had a full clean Driver’s Licence for 2 years or more. This is charged at a daily rate of €7.00, regardless of the rental period.
• There is no additional driver’s charge for up to 2 drivers. However, there is a cost of €15.00 per day for each additional driver thereafter and it is payable locally by Credit Card.

Cancellations

• Should you have to cancel your booking this can be done with no charge, prior do collection date providing you inform Steering Europe Ltd at least 72 hours before the rental is due to start.
• It is important to inform Steering Europe Ltd in order for us to refund your reservation & administration fee, which was charged to your Credit Card at the time of booking.
• There will be no refunds of the reservation & administration fee if the customer fails to inform Steering Europe Ltd before the rental is due Date.
• All cancellations must be made in writing and e-mailed to us at cancellations@steeringeurope.com or posted to our address.
• No refunds are given for vehicles returned early, rentals started later than booking period, no shows or cancellations made after the rental start date, even if our cancellation protection was taken.

Changes to Bookings

• Changes are accepted up to 72 hours before your rental is due to start. There is no charge for this facility.

Collection / Return / One-Way Rentals

• The airport location is open from 08:00 to 24:00 hours, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. The operation closes during the afternoons on 24 and 31 of December.
• The office is situated on the second floor of the Car Park at Alicante Airport.
• The Rental Contracts will be made and ready for every pre-booked customer
• Return of vehicles is to the same pick-up location.
• Collection and return of vehicles also possible from/to offices within the Alicante city limits during the hours of 09:00 to 20:00.
• One-Way Rentals – We regret that at this moment in time all vehicles must be returned to a rental location within the Alicante. Soon we will be able to offer One-Way Rentals with different applicable charges to other cities and airports
• Out of hours arrival will be charged €15.00 at time of rental. Applies between 24:00 and 08:00 a.m.

Driving Licence

• Drivers over 25 years old must have a Full Driver’s Licence held for at least one year
• Driver’s under 25 and over 21 years old must have a Full Clean Driver’s License for a minimum of 2 years
• Minimum age to rent is 21 years old
• The Driver’s Licence must be presented at time of booking, no refunds will be given if the renter (and where applicable) additional driver fails to provide the Driver’s Licence at time of rental
• Faxed or photocopied Driver’s Licence, are not acceptable

Pick-up Documents

• The Voucher is your proof that your rental was pre-booked at the preferential rate and must be presented at time of booking. We cannot be held responsible if the operator refuses to rent the vehicle at the agreed rates, for failure to produce this Voucher
• We advise you to keep your rental agreement copy and related paperwork for at least 30 days after the end of your rental

Rental Period

• The rental period starts from the date and time of your pick-up, is calculated in 24 hour periods and finishes at the date and time as detailed on the Voucher.
• There is a margin of 2 hours for the vehicle drop off. Anytime thereafter will be charged at the normal rental daily rate.
• Should you wish to extend the rental period after collection of the vehicle, you must contact Steering Europe Ltd or our local partner operator before the return due date. This extension period will be made at the same rate as in the confirmation voucher.
• Failure to do this on time, will result in the local car rental operator charging it’s normal local daily rate, which will be higher than our rates.
• Should you choose to terminate your rental early, you may do so and the rental period will be calculated, based on the preferential rates offered to you by Steering Europe Ltd.

Restrictions

• The local operator has the right to refuse a vehicle to any customer, which in their opinion is not fit to drive or does not meet the required conditions to rent a vehicle. In these circumstances your contract with Steering Europe Ltd will end immediately and we will have no further liability with you and not refund with be given to you
• All rental vehicles are insured to carry a limited number of passengers. We accept no responsibility, if the vehicle or car group booked does not meet the required needs of your party on arrival, if details were not supplied at the time of booking. For your safety and that of the passengers with you, we advise that this limit must not be exceeded. Any insurance will be invalidated if the vehicle’s limit is exceeded
• The vehicles must not be driven outside Spain, including Ceuta, Melilla, the Canary Islands and Balearics
• You must not carry animals or objects that may cause damage to the vehicle.
• We have no vehicles with Roof Racks or Towing Hooks and are unable to supply these items

Insurance / Collision Damage Waiver / Damage Excess

• Your rental is covered by a Comprehensive Insurance and Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), which protects you from non negligent damage to the vehicle. For exclusions see ‘What’s not included’ above
• Your Credit Card will be charged for of €300.00 to cover the Damage Excess insurance required for luxury to hire vehicles type Mercedes Benz C Class and E Class, at time of rental. This deposit will be refunded on your return, after the vehicle has been checked that it is free from damage. Should damage have occurred, this amount will be charged in full. If the damage amount is less than the Damage Excess, this will be refunded once repairs have been completed

Accidents and Theft

• It’s your responsibility to notify Police of any accident or theft you may have suffered within 24 hours of it’s occurrence and to follow all that it’s required by law. You should then notify the Car Rental operator and to give them a copy of this report

Taxes

• All rates include local taxes, but exclude taxes on extras purchased locally
• Any additional charges payable locally are subject to local taxes

Complaints

• All complaints in writing to Steering Europe Limited and we will endeavour to resolve all cases within 30 days. Some complaints may take longer depending on the issue involved.
• All complaints must be received no later than 90 days of the last day of rental.
• Steering Europe Limited is governed and restricted by jurisdiction laws of the United Kingdom and by Spanish Law.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

• Steering Europe Limited is a UK based agent for the car rental operator in the country to which it provides this service. On renting at your country of destination you are not only subject to our terms and conditions, but you will have to sign a local Rental Agreement, as you will be subject to the law of that country. This is a law applicable to everybody and all related companies, on making a booking through us you must be aware that you are subject to these conditions
• All reservations are subject to Steering Europe Limited terms and conditions.
• The customer accepts that all bookings made online are based on the information contained on our website and not of others
• Steering Europe Limited accepts no responsibility for signed documentation proving acceptance of extra charges applied locally.
• Steering Europe Limited accepts no responsibility or liability for anyone driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, driving without due care and attention, racing on or off-road and causing wilful damage. The customer will accept responsibility for any possible claims related to these offences or others considered

Contract

• A contract is formed once you accept Steering Europe Limited Terms and Conditions, by completing the reservation after selecting a product on offer and paying the reservation & Administration fee with your Credit / Debit card.
• This is the binding contract between you and us.

Force Majeure

• Steering Europe Limited shall not be liable for any events that are beyond the control of Steering Europe Limited or it’s partner, the car rental operation at the country where the rental is to take place, that may cause a delay or failure to perform it’s contractual obligation
• All our prices can go up as well as down and are subject to seasonal demand imposed to us by the local market. We reserve the right to change our website prices in order to remain competitive at a moments notice

Our Terms and Conditions reflect closely those of our car rental operator partner at your country of destination. However before signing your car Rental Agreement when collecting the vehicle, we strongly recommend that you check all details on this Rental Agreement, to make sure all meets your expectations. Any additional extras charged to your credit card after signing this Rental Agreement are your financial responsibility
